154. From Hype to Hit: The Secret to Hitting Your Sales Targets

We’ve all felt it—that surge of energy after a team rally, a convention, or an inspiring talk from a top producer. You tell yourself, “This is it! This time, I’m going all in!”

You update your planner, rewrite your goals, and even create a fresh wallpaper with your dream income. That’s the hype.

But fast forward one week later… and nothing’s changed.

let’s be honest—hype fades, but habits stay. If you want to hit your sales targets, you need to go from hype to hit. That means turning your excitement into consistent, purposeful action.

Let me walk you through a story we all know too well. After a company event, you see fellow agents posting photos with captions like “Game changer!” or “MDRT, here I come!” You feel pumped, so you list down your top 10 prospects and say, “Tomorrow, I start!”

But then “tomorrow” becomes “next week.” Then it becomes “next month.” What happened? Life. Doubt. Laziness. Distractions. All the usual suspects. You had the hype, but you didn’t convert it into a habit.

On the other hand, think about those quiet performers in your agency. Hindi sila ma-photoshoot. Hindi sila palapost. But they’re always on the leaderboard. Why? Because they follow a system.

They have non-negotiables: daily calls, scheduled client meetings, prospecting routines, and regular follow-ups.

That’s the secret: process beats passion.

Passion is good—it keeps the heart in the game. But process is what delivers results. You don’t have to feel inspired every day. You just have to do the work every day.

Here’s a simple action plan to help you go from hype to hit:

  • Set micro-goals. Don’t just say “I want to close 10 lives this month.” Break it down to how many calls, how many meetings, and how many follow-ups you need to do daily.
  • Schedule your success. Block your calendar. Morning calls? Afternoon client meets? Prospecting hour? If it’s not scheduled, it won’t happen.
  • Track your activity. Use a simple notebook or a tracker app. Measure effort, not just outcome. Remember: activity drives results.
  • Have an accountability partner. Find a teammate or manager to check in with weekly. Kahit simpleng message lang "Kumusta calls mo today?” can keep you moving.
  • Celebrate small wins. Closed a policy? Booked a hard-to-reach client? Give yourself credit. Small wins build big momentum.

Sales is not about how loud you cheer at the rally—it’s about how quietly and consistently you grind the next day. Motivation can start the fire, but discipline keeps it burning.

A gentle reminder: You don’t need to wait to feel ready. You just need to start. Because real success doesn’t come from hype—it comes from doing the hard, often boring, but always rewarding work behind the scenes.

From hype to hit? Kaya mo ‘yan. Start today.

153. #20thPIFAAPCongress "After the Applause: What You Do Next Matters Most"

The applause has faded. The photo ops are over. The giveaways are packed, the notes stored neatly in our bags, and the name tags tucked away.

Another successful PIFAAP Congress has come and gone—and what an inspiring experience it was! For one full day, we were surrounded by wisdom, energy, and the collective fire of our fellow advisors. Ideas flowed freely, stories were shared openly, and every speaker left us with golden nuggets of insight.

But now comes the real test—not in the ballroom, but in the field.

Because conferences inspire you... but they don't transform you.

Action does.

Let’s be honest. We’ve all been there before leaving an event supercharged with motivation, only to return to the daily grind and fall back into old patterns. The excitement fades. The notes remain unread. The strategies stay untried.

Why does this happen?
Because inspiration is like steam—it rises quickly but cools fast, unless you channel it into movement.

The Gap Between Knowing and Doing

We already know what to do:

  • Prospect consistently.

  • Listen to our clients deeply.

  • Present with passion.

  • Follow up with discipline.

  • Protect families before it’s too late.

But knowing is not enough. Execution is everything.

You may have heard Mark talk about the "Foundation for Excellence", or Raoul's talk of learning to dance in the rain and not waiting for the storm to pass or BM Vanessa talk on the importance of resilience in our practice.

All of that is great. But here’s the truth:

If you don’t apply even just one thing, the learning stops mattering.

Your Post-Congress Assignment

So here’s your challenge:

  • Pick one idea from the Congress—just one.
  • Apply it in the next seven days.
  • Track the result.

Don’t wait for the “perfect time.” Start small but start. Try a new script. Revisit your goal board. Send that follow-up message. Schedule that hard conversation.

Your growth isn’t measured by how many seminars you attend—it’s measured by how many ideas you put into motion.

Final Thoughts: Don’t Just Be Inspired—Be Different

The world is full of inspired people who never changed.

Be the rare one who lets inspiration fuel action.

Let the 20th PIFAAP Congress be more than just a memory—make it a milestone in your journey. A line in the sand where you said, "This is where I started leveling up."

The next success story shared on stage… could be yours.

Thank you, my friends,

#acgadvice

Now go out there. Make it count.

You don’t need another event to change your life.

You just need to start applying what you already know.
